2010-2011 Preschool Registration
It's here. We're planning for the upcoming school year already. Please help us get organized and begin the registration process. Contact Michelle at 582-2396
RALLY SUNDAY—AUGUST 22ND
Welcome One and All to a new session of Sunday School, Midweek and Bible Studies with our special Rally Day celebration on Sunday, August 22nd.
Schedule for Rally Day:
- 8:00 am Worship Service
- 9-9:15 am Fellowship w/ Coffee & donut/cookies
- 9:15-9:30am Parents, Students and Teachers meet in the Sanctuary for the welcome and introduction to your child’s teacher.
- 9:30-10:15 Teachers & Students stay in Sanctuary;
Parents are welcome to join the adult Bible study in Fellowship hall.
Third Graders will receive their “Faith Alive Bibles” and First Graders will receive their “Follow and Do” Books on Rally Sunday.
ENDING DATES FOR SUMMER WORSHIP & SUNDAY SCHOOL
The last day of Summer Sunday Worship (9:00 am Service) is Sunday, September 5th. The last day of Wednesday evening service is Wednesday, August 11th. The last day of Summer Sunday School is Sunday, August 8th.
SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER’S MEETING
There will be a Sunday School Teacher’s meeting on Sunday, August 15th. We will meet from 6:30pm—7:30pm.
JR, MS and SR BRY Kick-off - Yogi Bear Campground...
Please mark your calendar to participate in the fun filled BRLC Youth kickoffs on Sunday, August 22 from 12-3 PM. This event is designed to bring our youth together for Christian Fellowship as well as provide an opportunity for our parents to complete contact information and plan for future youth events. Activities for this event include, mini golf, jumping pillow, volleyball, swimming and the cost is $6.00 per person. The youth board will be hosting lunch (hotdogs, chips) and anyone wanting to bring a salad or desert to share would be welcomed. To help in planning efforts, please sign up on the youth board (both youth and parents) if you are planning to attend.
MS, JR, & SR. BRY WILD WATER WEST TRIP
Calling all youth. We are going to Wild Water West on Tuesday, July 13th. We will meet at the church at 2:45pm and we will be at Wild Water West from 4-8pm. The cost to get in is $5.00 per person. Bring extra money if you would like to eat or drink there.
CONFIRMATION RETREAT COMING IN AUGUST
If your student will be in the 7th and 8th grade confirmation class this fall, please reserve August 13th and 14th for our annual confirmation retreat to beautiful Camp Okoboji. These retreats enable the classes to bond in friendship with one another and with Pastor Deardoff, as well as being an opportunity to cover some material we won’t have time to cover in confirmation class. In between the brief classes there will be games, volleyball, swimming, and canoeing (weather permitting!), so be sure to reserve this time to grow in Christ. The cost of the outing has been covered by Thrivent in recent years, so look for more information in future bulletins about this fun outing.
