About Us
Blessed Redeemer is located in Brandon, (705 S. Sioux Blvd. Brandon, SD 57005) which is approximately 5 miles east of Sioux Falls in the southeast corner of South Dakota. Our church was established in 1990 and is part of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Our congregation is a mix of all ages and we Welcome anyone to come enjoy worship and fellowship with us as we praise Jesus Christ.
Our Synod
The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, with 2.5 million baptized members, ranks as the second largest Lutheran church body in North America and the 11th largest denomination in the USA. On April 26, 1847, 12 pastors representing 15 congregations signed a constitution that established “The German Evangelical Lutheran Synod of Missouri, Ohio, and Other States.” Today, the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (the name was shortened on it’s 100th anniversary) has 6,150 congregations served by more than 9,000 professional church workers. The word “Synod” in The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod come from the Greek words that mean “walking together.” It has rich meaning in our church body because the congregations voluntarily choose to belong to the Synod. Diverse in their service, these congregations hold to a shared confession of Jesus Christ as taught in Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions.
Our Mission
Blessed Redeemer's mission is to glorify God through worship and to proclaim Jesus as Lord and Savior so that all may hear his word.
Our Goals
- To give honor and glory to God
- To show the love of Jesus in our daily lives
- To help others know Jesus in a personal faith relationship
